eNARFE is a new and unique on-line web site for a NARFE membership plan where all interactions with NARFE's National Headquarters—news, blogs, membership services— are with your computer at a time of your choosing. You are not assigned to a traditional local chapter.
Learning from experience, eNARFE was designed by Headquarters to meet the needs and interests of working federal employees and retirees where participation in chapter membership and activities are not for whatever reason a desirable membership option.
eNARFE is best described by the president of eNARFE Chapter 2363 welcoming statement to new members:
“I warmly welcome all new members to Chapter 2363, NARFE’s first on-line chapter. You have chosen to become part of NARFE’s latest accomplishment to provide federal workers and retirees with an option to the traditional community based local chapter.
“Call Chapter 2363 what you want, a ‘virtual’ chapter or a ‘chapter without borders’, the chapter serves to provide information for and on-line communication with, its members on issues important to all federal workers and retirees and their families without the need to attend local meetings.
“You only need a computer and internet capability to take advantage of everything NARFE has to offer its members. In addition to the main NARFE website, the eNARFE website provides the latest in news of interest and value to federal employees and retirees. You can also post your concerns and opinions on the eNARFE Blog.”
